Let's start with the good news...Rich Bray back at the home of football looking to lead Honley to the elusive 1st Divison title. Rich coming down the division's must have been a big consideration based on the fact that he is still young with plenty of football ahead of him. Also returning to a club that has lost it's long standing manager (plus point perhaps) and underacheived over the last 5 years. Good luck to the team as this may be the season for silverware of some description. The second team need to roll up their sleeves and get off to a good start as this I feel will stand them in good stead to push on and challenge for the title. One note of caution after watching them quite a lot last year was the ability to press the self destruct button due to silly substitutions and not being tacticaly aware. These points of course can addressed by the manager hopefully. The third team GOOD LUCK.

Nice one Carlos. All three teams to be successful this season. I would like to know who the Honley fan is so I can get them a drink - Young, ME!! Batts - You've never had believe. You enjoy the holiday whilst the rest of us do the road running, squash sessions, 5-a-side, circuits, football training and anything else that is required to ensure we are prepared both mentally and physically so that this talented Honley side can reach finals and win titles once again. FITNESS is the key.

Just a quick point Carlos, quite right the second team did OK against the top teams but you must be cognisent of the fact that they also dropped stacks of points to the bottom 4 teams. On a positive note they can only improve this season due to the fact they will have some lads playing that may not be able to get a place in the first team due to very healthy competion

Honley fan you are quite correct. You can count on Marshy and myself playing second fiddle most of this year since we're both missing the the first two games of the season due to Triggers stag/wedding!!!! The quality of players at the club could mean that we only get a chance at 1st/2nd level if people get injured - not that we'd wish that on anyone of course! ;D

It's already started young man, missing games through other commitments.
As we all feared - a step down in standard leads Rich Bray to a step down in his own standards.
Would he have chosen to go out on the piss on two consequetive match days if he was still at the mighty Bay?

>:(BATTS (Well who else calls someone - Young Man?) You leave the management (who have already been consulted) to worry about Marshy and my absence. You concentrate on getting yourself and the other 10 players fit and securing 6 points from the opening two fixtures - Football is a squad game! COME ON HONLEY!!!!

Do you think the squad for Sunday will be named tonight, or will 30 Honley players turn up at Bay??

If you want to know who is returning to the mighty Honley prior to the arrival of the Individual look no further than your's truly. As predicted earlier in this thread R Bray makes a welcome return to the Honley fold and I beleive other key people are also joining to help this bandwagon roll. Second team brace yourselves for at least 3 1st team regular's joining your ranks to give you strength in depth due to fever competiton for places. The trick to Honley wining the title is down to the player's ability to get the job done (not in doubt) however just as important is how the Management teams motivate and keep players hungry for the game and success.THINGS CAN GET ONLY GET BETTER
