Tuesday, 7:55pm. Sitting in front of the Real Madrid vs Arsenal, having had a light tea at 5:30pm so that I didn't feel ill later in the night, I thought to myself "Is it worth training tonight? This game has started fantastically and it's extemely cold outside". I then thought "Hang on, The Stunner, we had 17 players turn up for the First Team game on Saturday, better go or I might get dropped".
Tuesday, 8:05pm. Strange, only 3 cars in the carpark
9:05pm. 17 players on Saturday, how come the only ones from that match here now are me, Batts, Bert, Bowker, Stu & Spud. That's 6 from 17.
The conclusion: If hardly anyone's going to turn up then at least let the rest of us know so that we can stay in and watch the football too. I found myself so pssed off in the '5 a-side' that I started trying to lace the ball at whoever was in goal, which only resulted in a tight hamstring and a red face. Rubbish.

You did tho dint ya Stu, just before the six of us went for a tour of Honley?
Some excellent points there I feel especially The 'Stunners' comments.
Seems like we were best stopping in and watching the Real Madriv v. Arsenal game. I know what I'll choose in two weeks time for the next leg of the champions league games.

Soz guys but I had to work on Tuesday. I told Steve, he was okay with it. This isnt what I wanted to do but I had other priorities. Normally if Im working away I will try to get out for a run, and afterwards straight down to the pub to get rid of all the hard work Id just put in. See ya Saturday A-FRAME!!!

some really good points being made on this link, if only a few are bothered about it, its hard to get motivated
if we all want to be picking up trophies at the end of the season, the hard work is done now, even if its tipping down with rain on a cold tuesday night!!

You're all right. Sorry I couldn't make it this week, but I hope to be there this Tuesday (I really miss not training!).
What time are we meeting at the Forresters Saturday?

Much better. Good turn out, and good bit of fitness work. The way we played showed we do all get on and have faith in each other's ability too. Would prefer regular five-a-side, with goalkeepers, as four-a-side no keepers encourages long ball, but you can't have everything.
If the game's called off on Saturday should we try to book a pitch at the Skylark? Maybe from 1-3pm? I'm justing thinking about next Saturday's game in the cup, which we've obviously got to win. 5-a-side is massively underated - it's good for fitness and gets people's confidence up as they get plenty of touches in. So could be worthwhile - what does everyone think?

Or we could have a training sess down at the field, pratice controlling the ball on a bobbley field, obviously not on the pitch but theres plenty of room?
